LIBRARY TOURS

Come see our beautiful library!

  • To request any of our tours, complete the Tour Request Form or call the Reference Desk at 801-852-6661.
  • Tours last 30 to 60 minutes, depending on how much you want to see.
  • Groups larger than 20 will often be divided into smaller groups.
  • All tours must be requested at least one week in advance.

Historic Academy Building Tour

Give us about 30 minutes and we can guide you around our beautiful historic Academy wing.  You can also take the tour on your own with our Self-Guided Tour Brochure which can be picked up at the First Floor Reference Desk.

Provo City Library at Academy Square

Get an overview of the whole library, including highlights of the historic Academy Building and a quick tour of the library departments in both buildings.  We've got a lot to show you, so plan about an hour for this tour.

Kids Tour

We love introducing our amazing Children's Library to kids of all ages!  Special topics can be requested and tours may include: 

  • Information about using the library and getting a library card
  • Instructions on book care
  • A history of books
  • Computer demonstrations
  • Reading picture books

Because of our popular story time programs, no tours are available before noon Tuesdays - Fridays.

The Attic at Academy Square

The Attic at Academy Square brings in a variety of art, science, and history traveling exhibits. Housed on the 4th floor of the historic Academy Building, we rotate exhibits every 6-10 weeks, so there is always something new to see.

Current Exhibit and Operating Hours

Hours in the The Attic are limited but we are happy to schedule a private tour for groups interested.
