Supplies Needed:
Make sure to wear something you don't mind getting paint on!
An easel is nice, but not necessary as long as you’ve got a way to prop your canvas against something sturdy.
An 8 x 10 or 11 x 16 canvas
Brushes--The nicer the brushes are, the easier painting will be.
- 1 flat 1-inch brush
- 1 medium (1/8 inch) round head brush
- 1 tiny as you can get, round brush
Water cup—one you can just throw away after
A paper plate or paint mixing palette
Paper towels
A plate that has a diameter smaller than the height of your canvas
A 12-inch ruler
Paints: Acrylic paint, not craft paint. 2-2.5 oz tubes are great.
- Cadmium red or a basic red
- Cadmium yellow
- White
- Black
- Optional: orange and/or magenta
- Background color options: primary blue or cobalt blue, black, or white paint.
